Tourism Department Launches Online NOC Portal for Foreign Tourists

In a landmark move to promote safe and seamless travel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the KP Tourism Department has officially launched an Online NOC (No Objection Certificate) System through a digital application to facilitate foreign tourists visiting the region.
During a meeting on tourist safety, Dr. Abdul Samad, Secretary of KP’s Tourism, Culture, Archaeology & Museums, highlighted the province’s initiative to embrace digital solutions for enhancing tourism infrastructure.
Key Features of the New Online System:
- Foreign Tourist Registration Portal for visitors with tourist visas
- Digital application submission for NOCs to travel in regions like Chitral, Upper Dir, Swat, and other northern areas
- Tourists can upload passport copies, visa details, and travel plans.
- Real-time status tracking of NOC applications
- Integrated list of registered tour guides, transporters, and accommodation providers
- App available on Google Play Store and KP Tourism’s official website
Dr. Samad stated that the online system will soon be expanded to accommodate foreign mountaineers and trekkers, ensuring smoother expedition approvals. He emphasised that this step is part of KP’s broader plan to simplify travel procedures, enhance security coordination, and reduce paperwork delays.
“This dashboard reflects our commitment to secure, sustainable tourism while promoting KP’s unique cultural and natural heritage,” said Dr. Abdul Samad.
