Tribal Chief Among 11 Arrested in Balochistan Double Murder Case

Quetta—July 21, 2025: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has confirmed the arrest of 11 individuals, including a tribal chief, in connection with a shocking double murder case that has stirred public outrage across the province.

Addressing a press conference in Quetta, the Chief Minister assured the public that all suspects involved in the heinous crime will be brought to justice, and the search for additional accused individuals is underway.

CM Bugti addressed widespread misinformation circulating on social media, which claimed that the victims were a newlywed couple. “This is completely untrue,” he clarified. “The woman who was killed was a mother of five children, and the man also had five to six children of his own. There was no marital relationship between them.”

Calling the murders unacceptable, Sarfraz Bugti stated, “Such brutal acts have no place in any civilised society. We are determined to enforce the law and ensure that justice prevails without any compromise.”

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards honour-based killings, emphasising that cultural or tribal excuses cannot justify violence.
