Trump, Putin Hold 2-Hour Call on Ukraine Peace Talks

Trump and Putin’s 2-hour call, agreement on Ukraine ceasefire meeting in Hungary has become an important international development. U.S. President Donald Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin for two hours over the phone and they agreed to meet soon to discuss ending the Ukraine war.

According to reports, the phone conversation between the two leaders lasted for about two hours. President Trump described the discussion as “constructive and meaningful,” saying both sides showed interest in peace.

Trump also said that he might hold separate meetings with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. He confirmed that a meeting with President Putin is planned in the next two weeks in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, where the Ukraine war ceasefire will be the main topic.

The U.S. President added that thousands have died in the Russia-Ukraine war, and a peaceful solution is urgent. He also stated that any further sanctions on Russia will be decided after consulting with allies.
