U.S. President Donald Trump has said that a major agreement for bringing peace to the Middle East is very close. He mentioned that once a deal is reached for Gaza, the goal will be to make sure all sides follow it. He said peace in the region would be a big achievement—something not seen in 3,000 years.

Speaking at the White House with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump said he has placed tariffs on China, the UK, and the EU. He also discussed tariff issues with Canada, saying that Canada charges the highest tariffs on U.S. agricultural products. Trump promised fair treatment on trade issues with Canada.

The Canadian Prime Minister praised Trump for helping to ease tensions between Pakistan and India, and for stopping the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
