Trump Says Trade Stopped Pakistan-India War After Jet Clash

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed he stopped a war between Pakistan and India using trade pressure. He said 7 fighter jets were shot down during the conflict, but strong trade threats helped avoid a full-scale war.
Trump stated that during his presidency, he prevented 8 major wars around the world, including a serious conflict between two nuclear-armed countries, Pakistan and India. He claimed his trade tactics played a key role in stopping the war.

According to Trump, tensions between Pakistan and India had reached a dangerous point, and 7 fighter jets were already downed. He said both countries were on the edge of war, but the U.S. stepped in just in time.
He explained that he called the leaders of both nations and gave a clear warning: if they went to war, the U.S. would stop all trade with them. Within 24 hours, Trump said both countries called him back, saying they no longer wanted war.

Trump has taken credit for stopping the Pakistan-India war before, although India has never officially accepted this claim. Still, he stands by his statement that trade pressure stopped a war between Pakistan and India even after 7 jets were shot down.
