Uzbekistan Airways to Launch Direct Flights from Tashkent to Islamabad Starting May 2025

ISLAMABAD – Uzbekistan’s national carrier, Uzbekistan Airways, has announced the launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Islamabad, starting May 24, 2025, according to a statement from the Uzbekistan embassy in Pakistan.
In the initial phase, the flights will operate once a week, every Saturday. The embassy spokesperson stated that discussions are currently ongoing with Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority to finalize operational arrangements and ensure smooth execution of the new air route.
The move aims to strengthen people-to-people ties, business travel, and tourism between the two countries by improving connectivity.
This announcement follows a recent initiative by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), which revealed the start of direct flights from Lahore to Baku, Azerbaijan. PIA will operate two flights weekly, scheduled for Saturdays and Wednesdays.
