World Athletics Championships: Arshad Nadeem Misses Out on Medal Race

Tokyo – Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has been knocked out of medal contention at the World Athletics Championships after failing to qualify for the top eight in the final round.
In his opening attempt, Arshad recorded a throw of 82.73 metres, placing him in seventh position. His second throw, however, was declared a foul. On his third attempt, he managed a slightly better mark of 82.75 metres, but it wasn’t enough to secure a spot among the leading eight athletes.
As per the competition rules, only the top eight performers after three attempts are given three additional throws in the final. Arshad’s exit meant he could not advance further in the medal chase.
On the other side, India’s Neeraj Chopra began strong with a throw of 83.65 metres, while his compatriot Sachin Yadav impressed with an 86.29-metre attempt on his first try.
According to the start list, Arshad Nadeem threw third in order, following Germany’s Julian Weber and Grenada’s Anderson Peters.
