World Bank Approves $300 Million Loan for Punjab

The World Bank has approved a $300 million loan for Pakistan to support the Punjab Clean Air Programme, a significant initiative aimed at combating air pollution in the province.
In a statement, the World Bank confirmed that the funds will be used to address the growing air quality concerns in Punjab, one of Pakistan’s most populous and industrially active regions.
The loan will help fund projects focused on reducing pollution levels, improving monitoring systems, and promoting cleaner air for the residents.
