Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari Killed in Airstrike

Yemen’s Chief of Staff Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari was killed in an airstrike, as confirmed by the Houthi group. Israel has claimed responsibility for the attack, which has raised further tensions in the region.

According to international media reports, Al-Ghamari was seriously injured in an Israeli airstrike on Sanaa in August 2025. That same strike also killed the Houthi prime minister and several other ministers.

At that time, Israel claimed it had targeted Al-Ghamari as part of its operation. The Houthi group has now confirmed his death and warned that Israel will be held accountable for what it calls “war crimes.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant officially confirmed that Al-Ghamari died as a result of an Israeli military strike. This announcement may further increase conflict in the already tense Middle East.

Following his death, the Houthi group appointed Major General Yusuf Hassan Al-Madani as the new Chief of Staff of Yemen’s army, after Yemen’s Chief of Staff Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari was killed in an airstrike.
