12 Soldiers Martyred, 35 Terrorists Killed in KP

RAWALPINDI – Twelve Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred while 35 terrorists were killed in two major operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these operations were conducted between September 10 and 13. The terrorists belonged to the Indian-sponsored group “Fitna al Khwarij.” The ISPR praised the soldiers’ bravery and sacrifice in fighting terrorism.
The first intelligence-based operation took place in Bajaur District. Security forces launched the mission after receiving reports of Khwarij presence in the area. During the intense exchange of fire, 22 terrorists were killed by Pakistani troops. The military confirmed that the group was actively involved in terrorist activities in the region. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
In a separate engagement in South Waziristan, 13 more terrorists were neutralized. However, during this operation, 12 soldiers embraced martyrdom after fighting courageously. The ISPR stated that these soldiers fought with great bravery and laid down their lives for the nation. The military emphasized that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
The ISPR further revealed that intelligence confirmed the physical involvement of Afghan nationals in these attacks. It raised serious concerns about the continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The statement urged the Interim Afghan Government to prevent such groups from operating on its territory. Pakistan expects full cooperation in stopping cross-border terrorism.
Sanitization operations are still ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The ISPR declared that Pakistan’s forces are fully committed to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism. It added that such sacrifices by the armed forces only strengthen the nation’s resolve. The military vowed to continue defending the country at all costs.
