Punjab set to promote tourism on the global stage: CM Maryam Nawaz

Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has promised to promote Punjab’s natural beauty internationally.
“Punjab is a land of deserts, mountain ranges, lakes, and rivers with immense tourism potential yet to be fully explored,” she said in her message on Global Tourism Resilience Day.
She stressed the implementation of sustainable efforts to increase tourism, which is crucial for international relations, local culture, and economic progress.
The Murree Glass Train Project is a tourism game-changer, according to Maryam Nawaz, who also mentioned that the Murree Master Plan is being carried out to make it a top tourist destination.
She also mentioned that important routes are being improved to guarantee tourists travel in safety and comfort.
In addition, new tourist attractions will be added around the region, and a five-star hotel will be constructed in Kartarpur to encourage religious travel.
She gave the assurance that the government has improved security procedures significantly, guaranteeing travellers a smooth and secure journey.
Through creative and sustainable initiatives, the Chief Minister underlined her commitment to transforming Punjab into a major international tourism destination.
