PM Shehbaz Sharif takes notice of gas load shedding during Sehar and Iftar

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken note of complaints regarding gas load-shedding during Sehar and Iftar timings and expressed strong dissatisfaction over the situation. He has directed the petroleum division to submit a report on the matter and ensure an uninterrupted gas supply for the public during these crucial hours of Ramadan.
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has assured citizens that the gas supply during Sehar and Iftar will be maintained. In an official statement, SNGPL urged consumers facing low pressure or other issues to contact their helpline at 1139 for immediate assistance.
In a separate development, PM Shehbaz Sharif has instructed federal and provincial governments to ensure essential food items remain available at affordable rates throughout Ramazan.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday regarding sugar supply and price control, the prime minister emphasised the need for a comprehensive strategy to keep food prices stable. He called for strict measures against hoarding and smuggling, particularly of sugar, and highlighted the government’s recent crackdown on sugar smuggling, which has helped curb illegal activities in the sector.
