PTI leaders allowed to meet Imran Khan twice a week

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders permission to meet party founder Imran Khan every Tuesday and Thursday under specific conditions.
A larger bench, led by IHC Acting Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Azam Khan, ruled that while meetings will be allowed, media interactions after the meetings will be strictly prohibited.
The court further stated that only individuals nominated by the PTI founder’s coordinator, Salman Akram Raja, will be permitted to meet Imran Khan. Following these guidelines, the court disposed of multiple petitions filed by PTI leaders regarding jail meetings.
Meanwhile, on a separate plea seeking permission for Imran Khan to meet his children, the court directed PTI to approach the trial court for further proceedings.
PTI leaders Junaid Akbar, Sher Ali Arbab, Rauf Hassan, and Amjad Ali, among others, had filed petitions, stating that they were denied access to meet Imran Khan previously. They argued that the meeting was crucial for the party’s affairs.
