PTI Distances Itself from US Congress Bill, Focuses on Founder’s Release: Barrister Gohar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has clarified that the party has no connection with the recent bill presented in the US Congress, stressing that PTI’s struggle remains focused within Pakistan’s legal and constitutional framework.

Addressing a press conference, Barrister Gohar reaffirmed the party’s commitment to securing the release of PTI’s imprisoned founder. He announced that PTI would now adopt “serious and concrete measures” to intensify efforts for his release.

He said that the biggest hurdle in achieving justice remains the lack of an independent judiciary in the country. “If the courts fail to deliver justice, then our political alliance will be forced to take a decisive course of action,” he warned, hinting at possible joint political strategies with other parties.

Barrister Gohar also addressed reports regarding PTI leader Senator Azam Swati, making it clear that Swati had not made any controversial remarks that would require disciplinary action from the party.
