After 27th, the 28th Amendment is also coming: Rana Sanaullah

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that after 27th, the 28th Amendment is also coming. He explained that the new constitutional amendment will focus on education, population, curriculum, and local government issues.
Rana Sanaullah said the government had the required number of senators to pass the 27th Amendment. He added that Senator Irfan Siddiqui could not cast his vote due to illness, yet the amendment was passed with a two-thirds majority in the Senate.

Rana Sanaullah further stated that the opposition could not raise any solid objection to any clause or section of the 27th Amendment. He said that if the President holds any public office, he will no longer enjoy immunity under the new changes.
On the other hand, PTI Senator Barrister Ali Zafar said that an appeal could be filed against the 27th Amendment, but the main question is which court would hear it — the Supreme Court or the Constitutional Court. He argued that if an amendment is passed with disputed votes, it may not be sustainable.
