Iran has declared potential nuclear talks with the United States “meaningless,” accusing Washington of double standards for supporting Israeli aggression while advocating dialogue.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the U.S. is complicit in Israel’s attacks and that a decision on resuming nuclear negotiations will be made soon.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi echoed the stance, stating that Israel’s “brutal behaviour” leaves no justification for indirect talks. The nuclear negotiations were scheduled to take place in Oman on Sunday.
Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Iran still has time to reach a deal and downplayed the risk of a wider regional war stemming from the Israeli strikes.
