Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that the United States intervened in the Iran-Israel war out of fear that Israel would be completely destroyed without its support.
In a national address, Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on what he described as a “victory over the Zionist regime” and declared that Iran had broken through Israel’s defence systems, proving itself to be invincible despite U.S. interference.
He warned that any future aggression would be met with a decisive response, and emphasised that Iran retains full access to key U.S. military bases in the region.
Earlier, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Khamenei revealed that Iran had struck the Al-Udeid Air Base, a major U.S. military installation in the Gulf, inflicting significant damage. He described the strike as a “strong slap” to the U.S., asserting that Iran is now a dominant force in the regional balance of power.
