New York Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani Promises to Arrest Israeli Prime Minister if Elected

New York: Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has stated that if elected, he would direct the police to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu upon his arrival in New York.

Mamdani said that such an arrest would demonstrate New York’s commitment to enforcing international laws.

Meanwhile, former President and Republican leader Donald Trump expressed confidence in Mamdani’s chances of winning, describing his potential victory as a reflection of public unrest and dissatisfaction.

The New York mayoral election is scheduled for November 4. Mamdani will face Republican Curtis Silwa, former Governor Andrew Cuomo, and current Mayor Eric Adams. Political observers have also suggested that Mayor Adams might withdraw from the race.

The contest is attracting significant attention, as potential actions by the next mayor could have implications not only locally but also in international relations.
