Silver prices also followed the upward trend. The per tola price of silver rose by Rs57 to Rs5,124, while 10 grams increased by Rs49 to Rs4,393. International silver prices stood at $48.62 per ounce, up by $0.30.

According to APGJSA, domestic precious metal rates are determined based on interbank exchange rates, with purity calculated at 999/24K.

The recent surge in gold reflects global demand and heightened investor caution amid economic and geopolitical uncertainties. In Pakistan, where the rupee faces pressure and economic instability persists, gold remains a popular choice for both consumers and investors, serving as a reliable means of wealth preservation.

The rise of digital finance tools such as gold-backed ETFs, mobile investment platforms, and fintech innovations has further expanded access to global gold markets, enabling more retail investors to participate alongside institutional players.
