Private Airline in Karachi Overboards Passengers on Flight PA-206

Karachi — An unusual incident occurred at Karachi Airport when a private airline boarded more passengers than available seats on Flight PA-206 bound for Islamabad.
According to reports, the pilot discovered the presence of two additional “honorary passengers” during taxiing for takeoff. Upon learning of the issue, the captain returned the aircraft to the boarding gate for correction.
The airline staff offloaded the two extra passengers before the flight resumed its schedule. Due to the incident, the flight, originally set to depart at 5 PM, was delayed, causing inconvenience to over 170 passengers on board.

Airport authorities have confirmed the incident, stating that both extra passengers belonged to the private airline. The Pakistan Airports Authority has launched a formal investigation into the matter to determine how the boarding error occurred and who was responsible.
This rare mishap has raised questions about the airline’s boarding procedures and internal safety protocols.

A shocking lapse in airline procedures led to a domestic passenger mistakenly boarding an international flight from Lahore to Jeddah instead of Karachi. The traveller had neither a passport nor a visa.
Airport authorities have blamed the private airline, calling it a serious safety breach, and have requested immediate action.
The passenger stated, “I showed my ticket to the crew, but no one warned me. Hours later, I realised I was not headed to Karachi.”
FIA is investigating the case. Return to Pakistan may take 2–3 days.
