US and Iran Trusted Field Marshal Asim Munir for Talks, Says Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is known for speaking honestly and clearly, which is why the trust in Field Marshal Asim Munir by both the United States and Iran played an important role during negotiations. He said Pakistan made sincere efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

Addressing a special meeting of the Paigham-e-Aman Committee, Naqvi said religious scholars have a vital role in maintaining peace and law and order across the country. He added that the forum should send a strong message of unity, harmony, and national solidarity to people throughout Pakistan.

The interior minister praised the work of the Paigham-e-Aman Committee and said it should become more active at the district level. According to him, religious scholars can help keep the nation united and raise awareness against extremism and violence. He stressed that all sections of society must work together to eliminate terrorism.

Naqvi also highlighted the importance of maintaining peace during Muharram. He said ensuring law and order during the holy month is a shared responsibility and urged people to avoid sectarian divisions, promote tolerance, and strengthen national unity.

Speaking about the Iran-US peace agreement, Naqvi said the trust in Field Marshal Asim Munir was based on his reputation for honesty and credibility. He stated that the Field Marshal was the only person trusted by all sides, which enabled Pakistan to play a constructive role in peace efforts. He also credited the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal for their contributions toward regional peace.
