Pakistan Joins Istanbul Meeting on Gaza Peace Plan

A consultative meeting on the Gaza peace plan is being held today in Istanbul, Turkey, with foreign ministers from eight countries, including Pakistan, in attendance. Pakistan will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The meeting aims to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Ministers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Indonesia, Jordan, and Egypt will also participate in the meeting. The primary focus of the discussions will be on enforcing the ceasefire, removing obstacles to aid delivery, and agreeing on a joint strategy to help the people of Gaza.

The meeting will also address the ongoing challenges in delivering humanitarian supplies and Israel’s failure to fully honor its aid commitments. Delegates will discuss ways to reduce the humanitarian crisis and provide immediate support to Palestinian civilians.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, Pakistan and seven other Arab and Islamic countries have actively supported efforts for the Gaza peace plan. Pakistan will emphasize full implementation of the ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, uninterrupted humanitarian aid, and the reconstruction of Gaza.

During the meeting, Pakistan will highlight the importance of the Gaza peace plan to ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces, support the establishment of a viable Palestinian state, and uphold the rights, dignity, and justice of the Palestinian people.
