Information Minister Confirms 133 Taliban Casualties as Pakistan Intensifies Response

Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has confirmed that 133 members of the Afghan Taliban regime were killed and more than 200 injured during Pakistan’s retaliatory actions.

According to the minister, defensive targets in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar were struck, and further casualties are possible as operations continue.

He stated that 27 posts were destroyed while nine others were captured, significantly altering the situation on the ground.

Tarar added that two corps headquarters and three brigade headquarters were destroyed, along with two ammunition depots and one logistics base.

Additionally, three battalion headquarters and two sector headquarters were reportedly targeted, dealing a blow to the opposing forces’ command and control capabilities.

The minister claimed that more than 80 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers were also destroyed as part of the response to alleged aggression.

Meanwhile, security sources said that the Pakistan Air Force continues operations in Kandahar, with fighter jets patrolling the airspace following strikes. The 205 Corps Headquarters in Paktia was also reportedly targeted.
