Leaders praise forces after anti-terror operations

Top leadership in Pakistan has commended security forces for their successful operations against militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reaffirming a strong commitment to eliminate terrorism nationwide.
Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the armed forces following intelligence-based operations in the Khyber and Bannu districts, where 13 militants linked to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed.
In separate statements, both leaders praised the professionalism and bravery of the troops, highlighting their role in maintaining national security. President Zardari emphasized the importance of continuing operations against terrorist elements, particularly those allegedly supported by external actors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the security forces as an “iron wall” standing against terrorism. He said their sacrifices and determination reflect the nation’s collective resolve to defeat militant threats.
The prime minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces in their counter-terrorism efforts, noting that peace and security are essential for economic growth and development.
The operations were conducted in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region that has witnessed a rise in militant activity in recent years. Authorities have intensified intelligence-based actions to dismantle networks and prevent further attacks.
Officials say the latest success is part of a broader strategy to eliminate terrorism and restore long-term stability. Both leaders underscored that such efforts will continue until the threat is fully neutralized.
