Iran Says Lebanon Must Remain Part of Ceasefire Agreement

Iran has sent a strong message to the United States ahead of talks, saying that Lebanon must remain part of the ceasefire agreement. Iranian officials stated that Lebanon cannot be separated from the deal under any circumstances, increasing tensions before negotiations.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that time is running out. Moreover, he said that Lebanon and allied resistance fronts are permanent parts of the ceasefire framework. He emphasized that this position is part of Iran’s 10-point proposal.

Ghalibaf further stated that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also publicly supported the importance of the Lebanon issue. Therefore, he said there is no room for denying or ignoring this reality in any negotiations.

In addition, he warned that any violation of the ceasefire would face a strong response. He also urged immediate efforts to control the situation and reduce escalation. According to him, delaying action would only worsen regional instability.

Meanwhile, the United States and Israel have rejected Iran’s position, saying Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement. However, Iran insists on its inclusion and continues to push its proposal. In conclusion, Iran says Lebanon must remain part of the ceasefire agreement, warning that exclusion will not be accepted.
