Iran warns US Israel retaliation 2026

Iran’s military has issued a strong warning to the United States and Israel, stating that any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic would be met with immediate and forceful retaliation targeting pre-determined sites.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which coordinates operations between Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said the country’s armed forces remain on full alert and are “on trigger” in anticipation of any hostile action.

Spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari said Iran’s military capabilities have been in a state of long-standing readiness, emphasizing that any attack would trigger an immediate response. He warned that Iranian forces would strike “pre-determined targets with full force” and deliver what he described as a harsher response to both the United States and Israel.

Iran warns tensions will continue over US naval blockade

The statement accused US leadership and military commanders of issuing repeated threats, which Iran views as part of ongoing pressure against the country. It also framed the warning as a response to what it called “aggressive” actions and rhetoric from Washington and its allies.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following a brief lull in hostilities announced earlier in April. According to Iranian officials, indirect diplomatic engagement had taken place afterward in Islamabad, though talks did not produce a breakthrough due to disagreements over sanctions and security demands.

Iran has since stated it will not participate in further negotiations unless the United States lifts what it describes as an “illegal blockade” on Iranian ports and shipping routes. The situation remains tense, with both sides maintaining firm positions and signaling readiness for further escalation if diplomatic efforts collapse.

The latest warning underscores the fragile nature of regional stability and the continuing risk of renewed confrontation involving major military powers in the Middle East.
