Deputy Prime Minister Reviews Energy Security and ensures an uninterrupted fuel supply across the country. A high-level meeting, chaired by Ishaq Dar, focused on strengthening the protection of key energy installations and maintaining a stable fuel supply nationwide.

During the meeting, officials reviewed security arrangements for oil refineries and storage facilities. Key ministers, including those for IT and finance, attended along with senior officials. This broad participation showed the government’s intent to coordinate efforts across multiple sectors.

According to the official statement, authorities are working closely with stakeholders and oil marketing companies. Together, they are implementing stronger security measures. Moreover, oil marketing companies will bear the additional costs required for enhanced protection.

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the current security arrangements. He noted that the steps taken so far are effective. However, he also emphasized the need to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential risks.

In addition, the meeting reviewed the availability of petroleum, oil, and lubricants across the country. The Ministry of Petroleum briefed participants on current stock levels. Officials confirmed that sufficient reserves are available to meet national demand.

Furthermore, authorities stated that fuel supplies are expected to remain stable until the third week of June 2026. Monitoring continues daily through the National Coordination and Management Committee.
