Trump arrives in China for high-stakes talks with Xi

Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for his first visit to China in nearly a decade, aiming to strengthen trade relations while navigating tensions over Taiwan, Iran, and strategic competition between the world’s two largest economies.

Despite years of trade tensions, both countries are currently observing a temporary tariff truce reached during Trump and Xi’s previous meeting in South Korea.
