Arshad Nadeem Qualifies for Final of Asian Athletics Championship

Pakistan’s Olympic gold medallist and star javelin thrower, Arshad Nadeem, has qualified for the final of the Asian Athletics Championship 2025, alongside fellow athlete Yasir Sultan.

Competing in South Korea, Arshad secured his place in the final with a powerful throw of 86.34 metres on his very first attempt in Group A of the javelin qualifying round. Determined to bring another title home, Arshad is one of the top contenders for the gold.

India’s Yash managed a 76.67-metre throw on his first attempt. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Yasir Sultan also impressed by qualifying for the final with a throw of 76.07 metres on his opening attempt.

It’s worth mentioning that Arshad Nadeem previously made history by winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics with a throw of 92.97 metres. The javelin throw final at the Asian Athletics Championship is scheduled to take place on May 31.
