ISLAMABAD: Ayla Majid has made history by becoming the first Pakistani to be elected as the global president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in its 120-year history.
Ayla Majid, who serves as the CEO of Planetive Middle East and Planetive Pakistan, joined ACCA in 2006. She is widely recognised as an international speaker on energy, decarbonisation, and climate technology.
Expressing gratitude for the trust shown by ACCA members, Majid pledged to enhance the profession and make it more appealing to future generations.
Her election marks a significant milestone for Pakistan in the global finance and accounting community, reflecting the growing recognition of the country’s talent and expertise in the field.
