The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest T20 player rankings, bringing good news for Pakistani bowlers. Thanks to their standout performances in the recent tri-nation series, several Pakistani bowlers have made significant progress in the rankings, showcasing their growing impact in international T20 cricket.

Among bowlers, New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy continues to lead the T20 rankings, followed by England’s Adil Rashid at the second spot. However, Pakistani bowlers made impressive moves — Sufiyan Muqeem jumped seven places to reach 15th, while Shaheen Afridi now holds the 22nd position. Abrar Ahmed made the biggest leap, rising 39 spots to reach 27th, and Mohammad Nawaz climbed 13 positions to claim the 30th spot.

While Pakistani bowlers saw upward movement, the rankings were less favorable for some of the team’s batters. Babar Azam dropped three positions, and Mohammad Rizwan slipped six spots. Captain Salman Agha is currently ranked 57th among batters, while Fakhar Zaman showed some progress, moving up nine spots to reach the 68th position.

These updated rankings reflect the overall mixed performance of the Pakistan team in the tri-nation series, where bowlers played a key role. With continued efforts, Pakistan’s T20 squad looks to further improve its standing in the global cricket arena.
