Bilawal Bhutto Reaffirms Pakistan's Resolve Against Terrorism: “Surrender Is Not in Our Dictionary”

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance against terrorism, declaring that the nation will never back down in the face of extremist threats.

Speaking at a high-profile conference in Islamabad, Bilawal outlined the significant progress Pakistan has made in its counterterrorism efforts, emphasising the sacrifices endured by the nation. “Surrender is not a word in Pakistan’s dictionary,” he stated, underlining the determination of the Pakistani people and security forces.

He highlighted the heavy toll the country has paid in its battle against terrorism, both in terms of lives lost and economic impact. Bilawal urged the global community to recognise Pakistan’s frontline role in this fight and to draw lessons from its experience.

“Terrorism knows no borders, faith, or ethnicity,” he said, adding that a unified global strategy is essential to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent future threats. “This menace respects no law and must be dealt with collectively.”

On regional issues, the former foreign minister addressed rising tensions with India and called for a peaceful resolution of the longstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute. He stressed the need for solutions that align with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Bilawal also raised concerns over water security in the region, stating, “Weaponisation of water must come to an end.” He called for diplomatic engagement and regional cooperation to address water-related challenges and ensure stability.
