Blast near PPP leader’s convoy in Quetta: 1 killed, 10 injured

A blast occurred near the convoy of PPP MPA Ali Madad Jattak on Sariab Road in Quetta, police confirmed.
According to police, the lawmaker remained safe, but one person was killed, and ten others were injured. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital for emergency treatment and later moved to the trauma centre.
According to police, Jatak was heading to a “Victory Celebration” event at the Hockey Ground, held to mark Pakistan’s recent win over India, when the explosion occurred.
Security around the venue has been tightened following the incident.
