CTD Arrests Two Fitna al-Hindustan Militants in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police apprehended two suspected militants linked to the outlawed network Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Hyderabad.
According to CTD officials, the raid was conducted in the Gulistan-e-Sarmast area of Qasimabad, where two high-profile suspects — Abdul Rahim Khoso and Ghulam Shabbir — were arrested. The operation led to the recovery of hand grenades, explosive materials, important documents, and funds believed to be used for terror financing.
Authorities confirmed that the weapons seized were the same used in an earlier attack on a CTD mobile van in Loni Kot, Jamshoro, which took place in April this year.
Following the suspects’ interrogation, CTD teams carried out further recoveries, including three more hand grenades and explosive material from other locations.
CTD sources said the arrested individuals are linked to the Fitna al-Hindustan network, and significant evidence has been obtained concerning their involvement in terror financing. Investigations are ongoing to track down their accomplices and facilitators across the province.
This arrest comes weeks after a major security operation in Quetta, where five militants — including a suicide bomber — were neutralized during an attempted attack reportedly orchestrated by the same network. That attack took place near Jinnah Road and left two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel injured. The attackers, disguised in FC uniforms, were eliminated by security forces before they could cause further damage.

Officials said the arrested men belonged to the banned Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA). The suspects were identified as Aamir Latif Chang, Shoaib Chang, and Shaban Chang.
CTD recovered two hand grenades, explosives, detonators, ball bearings, nuts, bolts, remote controls, wires, and other illegal weapons from their possession. These items were meant for sabotage.
