Demand for Arrests Grows, Nationwide Friday Protests Announced

Fazl Ur Rehman has demanded the immediate arrest of the killers of Maulana Muhammad Idrees and announced nationwide Friday protests. He said demonstrations will be held on May 8 after Friday prayers across the country. This move has drawn strong attention from political and religious circles.

The JUI-F chief visited Charsadda and went to the home of Maulana Muhammad Idrees. He offered condolences to the family and paid tribute to the late religious scholar. He also assured the bereaved family of his full support during this difficult time.

While speaking to the media, Fazl Ur Rehman strongly condemned the killing. He said that killing a Muslim over differences of opinion reflects ignorance. Moreover, he described the death of Maulana Muhammad Idrees as a great loss for the Muslim community.

He further said that Maulana Muhammad Idrees was a man of peace but became a victim of violence. He expressed hope that justice would prevail and the perpetrators would be punished. He stressed that such incidents must not go unchallenged.

Fazl Ur Rehman also stated that religious scholars stand with the Constitution of Pakistan. He clearly said that taking up arms within the country is not justified under any circumstances. Furthermore, he urged state institutions to fulfill their responsibilities and take immediate action.
