Donald Trump has won the U.S. presidential race, defeating Kamala Harris to become the 47th President of the United States, according to American media reports. Following his victory, celebrations erupted among Trump supporters across several states, and Trump is expected to deliver his victory speech shortly. This win makes Trump the second U.S. president to regain office after a defeat. Notably, Muslim voters in Michigan turned out in high numbers for Trump, tying a record that has stood for 131 years.

Donald Trump won in several swing states during the U.S. election. He claimed victory in Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming.

Trump secured the following electoral votes:

  • 40 from Texas
  • 30 from Florida
  • 17 from Ohio
  • 11 each from Indiana and Tennessee
  • 9 each from South Carolina and Alabama
  • 8 each from Kentucky and Louisiana
  • 7 from Oklahoma
  • 6 each from Mississippi and Arkansas
  • 5 from Nebraska
  • 4 from West Virginia
