Electricity has become more expensive for Karachi residents.

NEPRA has increased electricity rates for Karachi residents by an additional 40 Rs per unit. This hike is part of the August 2024 monthly fuel adjustment, and an official notification has now been issued.
According to the notification, KE consumers will see this added charge reflected in their January 2025 bills. This decision by NEPRA will place an extra financial burden on Karachi consumers, further increasing their monthly bills.
