India backing terrorism in Pakistan, Army fully prepared to respond: DG ISPR

Director General ISPR, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that India is actively supporting terrorism in Pakistan, but the Pakistan Army is responding with modern and effective strategies.
Speaking during a meeting in Karachi with representatives of various religious and social communities, he emphasised that all Pakistanis—regardless of religion or ethnicity—are equal citizens with full constitutional rights. He condemned racial and ethnic hatred as ignorance and stressed the need for national unity.
Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif further clarified that only the state has the authority to declare jihad; no individual or group can take up arms on their own.
Participants appreciated the interaction and called for more such engagements in the future.
