Islamabad police decide to launch a crackdown against PTI

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have announced a decisive crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in response to escalating political tensions and reports of planned protests in the federal capital.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting of law enforcement officials, aiming to maintain law and order in the city amid concerns of unrest.
According to police sources, specific measures will include increased monitoring of PTI activities, potential arrests of party leaders and workers, and strict implementation of Section 144, which bans public gatherings in the city.
Security has been heightened across Islamabad, with checkpoints established at key locations to monitor movements and prevent any untoward incidents.
Officials have stated that the crackdown aims to ensure peace and prevent any disruption to daily life in the capital. PTI leadership, however, has condemned the move, calling it an attempt to stifle political dissent.
This development comes amid heightened political tensions as the PTI continues to call for nationwide protests against the government. Islamabad Police reiterated their commitment to upholding law and order while ensuring the safety of citizens.
