Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that criticism on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is welcome, but it should always remain within moral and civil limits. He stressed that political disagreements must not compromise public courtesy.

Speaking to journalists in Lahore, Afridi said that constructive criticism should apply not only to PTI but also to PML-N and other major political parties. He added that political decency is essential for a healthy democratic environment.

Afridi noted that the government’s actions against PTI deserve public scrutiny and urged citizens to raise their voices wherever they see injustice. According to him, standing with truth is the responsibility of every Pakistani.

He further emphasized that political parties must adopt discipline, patience, and respect, so national issues can receive the attention they deserve.

Meanwhile, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari sharply criticized Afridi, saying that he had “seen enough of Lahore” and should now return to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to address the concerns of his own people.

Bukhari alleged that Afridi shared misleading images from Bangladesh to portray political momentum, but daylight exposed the reality of the so-called street movement.

She added that the movement failed to draw a significant public response, claiming that no one was present to respond to the slogans raised by its supporters.
