KP Govt Disburses Rs61 Million in Scholarships for Minority Students

PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated Rs61 million in scholarship funds to support more than 700 minority students across the province, marking a significant step toward inclusive education.
The announcement was made during an official ceremony in Peshawar, where Special Assistant for Information Barrister Saif initiated the formal distribution process.
As per the scholarship breakdown:
- 10 PhD scholars received Rs 1 million each.
- 20 MPhil students were granted Rs200,000 each.
- 60 professional course students secured Rs100,000 each.
- 250 undergraduate (BS) students got Rs 70,000 each.
- 400 intermediate-level students were awarded Rs50,000 each.
This initiative aims to promote educational opportunities for minority communities and encourage higher academic achievements.
In a related development, the Kingdom of Morocco has offered 10 fully funded scholarships to Pakistani students for admission into public institutions in Morocco for the 2025–26 academic session, covering higher, technical, and professional education.
