COAS Asim Munir Meets British Army

RAWALPINDI: The British Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Charles Roland, met Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ. The meeting focused on regional security, defence cooperation, and matters of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the importance of collaboration to maintain peace and stability in the region.

During the visit, General Roland appreciated Pakistan Army’s efforts and sacrifices in counterterrorism and promoting regional security. He also paid homage to martyrs by laying a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. The British official received a guard of honour from a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Army.

Earlier, General Syed Asim Munir visited Jordan, where he met King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al Hussein. The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation in defence, security, and regional developments. COAS conveyed warm regards from the Government and Armed Forces of Pakistan to His Majesty the King.

The King of Jordan praised the professionalism and contributions of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He expressed his desire to further strengthen defence collaboration with Pakistan. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening fraternal ties and joint efforts for regional peace.

These high-level visits highlight Pakistan’s growing defence diplomacy with key allies. They also underline the country’s focus on regional stability and international cooperation in security matters. Continuous dialogue aims to foster trust, enhance strategic ties, and promote shared security goals.

A high-level US delegation met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at #on Wednesday. The US is seeking cooperation on mineral development.

According to details, a statement issued by the ISPR said that the US delegation was led by Senior Bureau Official Eric Meyer. The Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum was discussed during the meeting with Army Chief Asim Munir.
