Lahore Police Kill Suspect in Shootout After Family Murders

Lahore police engaged in a shootout in the Heir area after tracking a suspect involved in a family killing. The man had reportedly murdered his wife, children, and another relative just a few days earlier. Authorities said the suspect called police around 3 PM, claiming he would attack officers next.
Police reached Raja Bhola to trace the suspect and his accomplices. Upon arrival, the suspect and his companions opened fire on the officers. The police maintained safety while pursuing the armed men through the area. Local residents were advised to stay indoors during the confrontation.
During the shootout, one suspect, identified as Imran alias Mani, was killed. Police recovered weapons from the deceased, confirming his involvement in the recent murders. Officers noted that the remaining suspects fired at police and escaped the scene.
Authorities launched a search operation in the area to locate the fleeing suspects. Law enforcement emphasized that all criminal elements would face strict action. Police urged the public to provide any information on the suspects to aid the ongoing operation.
SP Cantt, Captain (Retd) Qazi Ali Raza, stated that efforts against criminal gangs continue without discrimination. He assured the community that police are committed to maintaining safety and justice in all areas.
