Legendary Comedian Actor Javed Kodu Passes Away at 53

Veteran Pakistani actor and comedian Javed Kodu has passed away today, April 13, 2025, after a prolonged battle with multiple serious illnesses. He was 53 years old. Known for his unique presence and impeccable comic timing, Kodu had a distinguished career spanning 47 years, during which he appeared in over 150 films and dramas.
Kodu began his acting journey at nine with a performance at the Alhamra Arts Council in 1981. Despite facing personal challenges, including dwarfism and health issues, he remained a beloved figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. In recent years, he suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2016, which led to paralysis and financial difficulties for his family. Despite his hardships, he was known for his resilience and dignity, refusing to seek public financial assistance.
