Trump in excellent heart health

US President Donald Trump has received a clean bill of health after a recent MRI scan, according to his physician. The test followed an unannounced visit to Walter Reed medical center that raised fresh questions about his condition. However, officials stressed that the scan was routine and aimed at early detection. They also said the visit was not linked to any medical emergency.

The White House released a memo from physician Sean Barbabella, who described the scan as a preventive measure. He said the MRI helped confirm the president’s overall well-being. Moreover, he noted that such imaging is widely used to detect serious problems early. He added that the president’s test was part of a long-term health strategy.

According to the memo, Trump’s cardiovascular system appears in excellent shape. Barbabella said the abdominal imaging showed normal results as well. He explained that all major organs looked healthy and well-perfused. These findings directly addressed concerns raised after the unexpected hospital trip.

Reporters have repeatedly questioned Trump about the visit in recent weeks. However, the president redirected inquiries to his medical team. This is not the first time his health has drawn public attention. Observers have also noticed bruising on his right hand during recent appearances. The White House has attributed the marks to aspirin use for heart health.

Earlier this year, officials revealed that Trump was evaluated for leg swelling. Doctors diagnosed him with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition involving poor blood flow in the legs. The condition can be managed with medication or minor procedures. Despite public scrutiny, the White House maintains that the president remains fit for duty and continues his normal schedule.

According to an official statement from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, the former president underwent a comprehensive medical examination after experiencing persistent swelling in his lower limbs. The assessment revealed that he is suffering from chronic venous insufficiency, a condition in which veins in the legs have difficulty sending blood back to the heart, often leading to swelling, pain, and skin discolouration.

The press secretary clarified that Trump’s bruised hands were “consistent with tissue damage from frequent handshaking”—a “common occurrence for public figures who engage in high-volume physical interaction. She also confirmed that Trump has been taking aspirin as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen, suggesting the measure is precautionary and not indicative of any acute cardiac event.
