Muslim Countries Support US Proposal for Gaza Ceasefire and Regional Peace

Islamabad – Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt have expressed support for a US-led initiative proposed by President Donald Trump aimed at advancing peace in the region.

The plan includes measures for a ceasefire in Gaza, delivery of humanitarian aid, prevention of forced displacement, and promotion of the broader peace process.

According to a joint statement, the countries welcomed Trump’s assurance that annexation of the West Bank will not be allowed and that the protection of the Palestinian people will be ensured.

The statement emphasized that the Muslim nations are ready to engage in constructive dialogue with the US and other international parties to finalize the agreement.

The comprehensive plan envisions the reconstruction of Gaza, provision of humanitarian assistance, release of captives, full withdrawal of Israeli forces, and paving the way for an independent Palestinian state under a two-state solution framework.

Foreign ministers of the participating countries highlighted that these measures are aligned with international law and are crucial for lasting peace, security, and stability in the region.
