New Gas Load Shedding Schedule Announced for Summer

QUETTA – Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has issued a new gas supply schedule for Quetta for the summer season, aiming to ensure fair distribution and stable supply of natural gas.

According to the SSGC spokesperson, gas will now be available from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily in Quetta. The spokesperson added that this schedule has been implemented under the National Gas Load Management Plan to manage the available gas resources efficiently during the summer months.

Sui Northern Also Issued New Gas Timings

Earlier, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) had also announced a new gas supply schedule after Ramadan 2025. Under this plan, gas will only be supplied during meal times to manage system pressure and improve service quality for consumers.

The new supply timings by SNGPL are:

• Morning: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM
• Afternoon: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Evening: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Purpose of the New Schedule

Gas company officials explained that these measures are necessary to maintain gas pressure and ensure a smooth supply to all consumers. They further appealed to citizens to use gas responsibly and avoid wastage.

Advisory for Consumers

• Use gas appliances only when necessary.
• Consider alternative energy sources during gas outages.
• Plan cooking and other gas-related activities according to the new schedule.

Officials stated that the new schedule will remain in effect as long as the current gas supply situation continues.
