Iran-Israel War: Pakistan orders Oil Companies to stockpile fuel

Author Avatar Web Desk | 1 month ago
Amid rising tensions due to the Iran-Israel war, the federal government of Pakistan has directed oil companies to maintain a minimum 20-day fuel reserve.

OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) has instructed all oil marketing companies to urgently import 140 million litres of petrol to ensure adequate supply.

Following the directive, PSO (Pakistan State Oil) has issued an emergency tender for 70 million litres of fuel, expected to arrive at Karachi Port within 10 days.

According to PSO officials, the incoming shipment—originally scheduled for June 26—has been expedited to ensure 140 million litres of additional fuel is available nationwide by July 1.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and may take further emergency measures if needed.
