Pakistani Boxers Shine in China
Pakistani male and female boxers delivered outstanding performances at the Third Belt and Road International Boxing Gala in China, proudly raising the national flag on the global stage.

Pakistan Army’s Ayesha Mumtaz advanced to the final of the Women’s Under-18, 48kg category, securing at least a silver medal for Pakistan. The prestigious event features 34 teams from 26 countries.

Two more Pakistani women, Malaika Zahid and Maria (both from the Army), also reached the semi-finals. In the men’s category, Qudratullah (Pakistan Army) qualified for the semi-finals, while Huzaifa Raheel (Punjab) and Zameer Ali (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) advanced to the quarter-finals.

Chairperson of the Pakistan Boxing Federation, Begum Ishrat Ashraf, praised the athletes for not only achieving victories but also showcasing courage, discipline, and determination that brought pride to the nation.

Federation President Lt. Col. (R) Muhammad Nasir Ijaz described the women’s international success as a historic moment for Pakistan. He highlighted that these results reflect the athletes’ hard work, modern training, and preparation at the national coaching camp.

He further said that Pakistan’s daughters have proven the country is an undeniable force in global boxing. These achievements, he added, will serve as a foundation for future victories, with the federation continuing to provide athletes with the best possible facilities.
