Pakistani Diplomat Exposes India’s False Narrative on Kashmir at United Nations

New York – Pakistan’s representative to the United Nations, Asif Khan, strongly countered India’s false claims and exposed the ongoing atrocities and state-sponsored terrorism in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the UN, Asif Khan stated that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, yet India returns to the global stage every year with the same fabricated narrative to mislead the world.

He reminded the forum that it was India itself that brought the Kashmir issue to the UN Security Council, and is now trying to backtrack on its commitments. He emphasized that the only just solution to the Kashmir dispute is through a UN-mandated plebiscite.

The Pakistani envoy further alleged that India is supporting banned terror outfits like the TTP, BLA, and Majeed Brigade, which have been responsible for killing thousands of innocent Pakistani citizens.

He denounced India’s claim of being the “world’s largest democracy,” calling it instead the “world’s largest disinformation state”, where Islamophobia and persecution of minorities have become part of state policy.

Asif Khan warned that India’s irresponsible behavior poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability, but reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to support the legitimate and peaceful struggle of the Kashmiri people at all international forums.
